New Student Application Information
Thank you for your interest in Riverview STEM Academy. Riverview STEM Academy is an application only school. Families wishing to enroll need to register at their neighborhood school as admittance is not guaranteed due to a finite number of openings each school year. Important dates and information:

Applications for the 2026-2027 school year will be available on our school website, and in the school office beginning Monday, January 5, 2026, at 7:30am.

Parent Information Night on MS Teams, January 26, 2026 at 6:00 pm. The MS Teams link will be provided in an application confirmation email.

Completed applications, along with a current report card and/or letter or recommendation from your child’s current teacher, can be scanned and emailed, or turned into the school office. In accordance with program guidelines, applications received after the deadline are placed on the waitlist. Priority consideration is granted to applicants who submit required documents by 4:00pm on January 30, 2026.

All applications, for grades 1-5, submitted for the 2026-2027 school year will be wait-listed, as those grade levels are full. We have limited openings in grades 6-7 that we expect to fill using the lottery system above.
Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are available below. Please print and complete the application, and submit per the directions at the bottom of the form. Please include your child's most recent report card (1st-7th Grade applicants) or a progress report/letter from their preschool teacher (Kindergarten) with each application.

Key Dates & Information for 2026-2027 Enrollment
Priority Enrollment Procedure
Level 1: Siblings currently enrolled at Riverview STEM receive first priority for admission
Level 2: Children of staff whose guardian is a current staff member at the Riverview STEM receives second priority for admission
Level 3: Student of FCUSD living within the Rancho Cordova
Level 4: Other students of FCUSD living within the FCUSD boundary
Level 5: Students living outside of FCUSD boundaries in Rancho Cordova
Level 6: Students living outside of FCUSD boundaries and Rancho Cordova
Example
If there are 50 applicants for kindergarten the following process will happen:
If there are 10 siblings, they are accepted.
If there are 2 children of staff, they are accepted.
If there are 40 students living in RC, a random selection process will be utilized to determine the accepted students. It will also create the wait list which will be kept for the remainder of the year.
The random selection process will be used as soon as an enrollment procedure level is eclipsed. A random generator will be utilized.
